Destileria 501 is one of the oldest distilleries in Jalisco (since 1780). What sets Bestia apart from most Tequilas is that all of Agave is Estate grown, produced, and bottled. Not a single agave is outsourced. OWNERSHIP: Flores Family
THE TEQUILAMAKING (Gran Padre):
Agave: Highly Mature. 30 Brix.
Cooking: Masonry oven. 36 hrs.
Fermentation: Natural. 4 days.
Distillation: Distillation Tower with 4 plates. The Tequila is run twice (8 times distilled). 3 days of
natural oxygenation after distillation.
THE TEQUILAMAKING (Bestia):
Agave: Mature. 26 Brix.
Cooking: Autoclave. 8 hrs.
Fermentation: 70% Blue Weber Agave and 30% Sugar Cane juice. 4 days
Distillation: Distillation Tower with 4 plates. The Tequila is run twice (8 times distilled).
